Countybank and Greenwood Capital gave a $10,615 donation United Way of Greenville County.
The Countybank Foundation, which represents both financial institutions, contributed $10,000 of the donation, while the remaining $615 was raised through the 2020 Casual for a Cause fundraiser, in which Countybank and Greenwood Capital associates who donated money were able to wear business casual clothing on Fridays.
“Partnering with United Way of Greenville County allows our associates to be involved and invested in how we as an organization give back to our community,” said Countybank chief operating Ken Harper, who also serves on the United Way of Greenville County’s board of directors. “United Way has such a positive impact across the Greenville area, and we’re proud to support that effort.”
The donation will support United Way’s work in Greenville County, which includes strategic investments in education, financial stability and community initiatives designed to improve the economic mobility of individuals and families in the community.
