Residents within the city of Greenville who would like to run for City Council or the Greenville Water Commission of Public Works may file as a candidate until noon on March 30 at the Greenville County Voters Registration and Elections Office at 301 University Ridge, Suite 1900, in Greenville.
Each candidate is also required to file a statement of economic interest with the State Ethics Commission.
The following seats are up for election:
- Greenville City Council District 2, held by Lillian Flemming
- Greenville City Council District 4, held by Wil Brasington
- At-large position, held by Russell Stall
- Commission of Public Works, held by James Bannister
The City of Greenville’s partisan primary elections are scheduled for June 8, and the general election will take place on Nov. 2.
