Christian Learning Centers of Greenville County announced May 19 it has received $40,209 in donations from supporters across Greenville County to cover the purchase of a new bus for the released-time Bible class ministry.
The ministry needs buses to transport Greenville County school students to a Bible class during the school day and in the last year it’s had to scrap two of its aging buses, ministry leaders said.
“It is a humbling honor to witness our community love on us when we have a significant need,” said CLC founding executive director Janice Butler. “With COVID-19 restrictions lifting we are thankful to be able to host our multiple programs in the coming school year. To be able to do that, we needed a new bus for our fleet to transport our students to their Bible class. As a completely donor-funded ministry, we communicate this need to our support base and the Lord worked in hearts to provide exactly what we needed. All the glory goes to Him.”
The school also signed an endowment agreement with the South Carolina Christian Foundation, which will allow CLC to continue to serve Greenville County School system students with released-time Christian education, Butler said.
