The Center for Developmental Services, an Upstate multidisciplinary treatment facility for children with disabilities and developmental delays, recently announced a matching gift challenge, which will be open until Feb. 14.
Retired Prisma Health Children’s Hospital medical director and CDS board of director emeritus member and founding leader Dr. Bill Schmidt and his wife, Jean, have pledged to match any donations the facility receives, up to a total of $15,000.
“I look at my role in the creation of CDS as one of my greatest professional accomplishments,” he said. “It’s a perfect example of how a community can join together to address complex children’s needs.”
To participate in the challenge, visit cdservices.org. Gifts may also be mailed to CDS at 29 N. Academy St., Greenville, SC 29601.
