With the Christmas holiday season in full swing, the 35th annual Bon Secours St. Francis Festival of Trees has returned to downtown Greenville from Dec. 1 to Dec. 30.
This year’s 62 trees will be spread out between the Courtyard Marriott Downtown at 50 W. Broad St., Embassy Suites by Hilton – Riverplace at 250 RiverPlace and the Hyatt Regency at 220 N. Main St.
In addition to the Festival of Trees, Bon Secours St. Francis will be offering a drive-thru toy donation event on Dec. 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the box office pull-up area at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.
“Due to the pandemic and our inability to gather in person the way we normally would, we have canceled our annual Teddy Bear Luncheon in favor of a drive-thru toy donation event,” said Karri Westmoreland, director of the Bon Secours St. Francis Foundation. “While different from years past, we hope this tweak will still allow everyone to celebrate the holidays in a memorable and meaningful way while also maintaining a level of health and safety for everyone.”
During the toy drive, members of the public will be requested to stay in their cars while event volunteers collect the new, unwrapped toy donations.
