The Blood Connection partnered with the Greenville business community in early December at its latest Turn Positive into a Positive campaign event at Hubbell Lighting’s headquarters in Greenville.
During the socially distanced event, Hubbell employees and citizens from across the city gathered to donate convalescent plasma, which is collected from donors who have recovered from COVID-19 and will be used in transfusions to help some patients with the illness recover.
“While COVID-19 has robbed us of the chance to be together physically, we’ve learned that togetherness can be as much a state of mind as a physical state,” said Hubbell Lighting Vice President Garth Warner. “In this spirit of unity, Hubbell is proud to bring the Greenville business community together to help fight back against COVID-19, but more important than fighting against something, we are fighting for something, for our neighbors, our friends, our livelihoods and for getting back to normal.”
