For the past five years, the Greenville County Soil and Water Conservation District has teamed up with the Clemson University Cooperative Extension 4-H Youth Development program to offer a weeklong outdoor experience to kids from around the Upstate. This year — Wet & Wild’s sixth consecutive year — is no different. This immersive science-education camp will be held July 13-17 at Pleasant Ridge Park in Marietta.
Throughout the week, campers will experience both the beauty and complexity of the environment while gaining a new appreciation for the natural resources we depend on and the species we share it with. We will explore the rich biodiversity of the Upstate through fun, hands-on activities that take a deeper look at forest and aquatic ecosystems, and explore how humans and urban sprawl impact the natural world.
If there are any 6-12 year olds in your life who love the great outdoors, visit www.wetandwild.camp to learn more and register.
