If you don’t have a child in high school, you may not have noticed the dramatic shift in college admissions post-pandemic. Tiny acceptance rates shrunk even more, standardized testing was put on hold and you still can’t get into Harvard. Even before COVID shut everything down, applying to college became more than filling out your personal information on a piece of paper. For the unforeseeable future, crafting your college application will take some time and work.
After nearly a decade working solely in college admissions in Greenville, Emily Butler has launched a private, college planning firm. Families often view the college application journey as overwhelming. Butler works to cut the stress and tension by curating a list of schools and careers that make sense for a student’s long-term success. Her approach is fully customized to the student, focused solely on the fit of the student. She will walk hand-in-hand with each family along each stepping stone of the process.
Additionally, Emily works to foster equity and inclusion among underserved students in Greenville. She serves GirlUp GVL, Eleos GVL and the BelAire Community in their efforts to empower their own communities.
