Bestselling science fiction author Orson Scott Card is back at Fiction Addiction for a virtual event on Dec. 1.
Tickets for the event start at $17 and include access to a live online book talk and a signed copy of Card’s latest book, the children’s book “Zanna’s Gift.”
When little Suzanna’s oldest brother dies from an unexpected illness just before Christmas, she’s left with the gift she made for him — a picture that only he would have understood. A strangely gifted child, Zanna loves to draw, but Ernie was the only one who was able to see the pictures in the curious patterns she made.
Every Christmas, Zanna’s picture is brought out and displayed as a way of including Ernie in the family celebration. “Zanna’s Gift” is the story of the life of that family and of the many gifts they give each other that can only be understood with love.
Ticket holders will also be able to access a replay in case they miss the live event. Tickets can be purchased until the event starts at 6 p.m. on Dec. 1. Refunds can be requested up until the ticket cutoff.
Card is the author of the New York Times bestsellers “Ender’s Game,” “Ender’s Shadow” and “Speaker for the Dead.” He’s won several Hugo and Nebula awards for his works of speculative fiction. Besides these and other science fiction novels, Card writes contemporary fantasy, American-frontier fantasy, biblical novels, poetry, plays and scripts. He lives in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Tickets can be purchased at fiction-addiction.com.
