Peabo Bryson was presented with a key to the city by Mayor Knox White during his May 20 performance at The Peace Center. The Greenville-born-and-raised star, who grew up in the Southernside neighborhood, was performing on the Peace Center stage for the first time.
Bryson was also honored by SC Sen. Karl Allen, who presented him with a sign representing a section of North Academy Street, near Bon Secours Wellness Arena, that has been named in his honor.
