Greenville Theatre will present “The Dixie Swim Club” as its first live performance in 16 months, beginning July 29 at 7:30 p.m.
The play is based on the book by Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones and Nicholas Hope and tells the story of five Southern women who started their friendship on their college swim team and meet every August to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives.
“It is great to be back to theatre after such a long hiatus,” said director Suzanne McCalla. “And this play celebrates relationships and enduring friendships, which makes it particularly relevant after many long months of isolation.”
“The Dixie Swim Club” stars Kristi Parker Byers as Lexie Richards, Mary Freeman as Sheree Hollinger, Beth Munson as Vernadette Simms, Ashleigh Stowe as Jeri Neal McFeeley and Kelly Wallace as Dinah Grayson.
The showtimes are:
- July 29 and Aug. 5 and 12 at 7:30 p.m.
- July 30-31 and Aug. 6-7, 13-14 at 8 p.m.
- Aug. 1, 8 and 15 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $30 per adult, $29 per senior and $22 per junior.
