Cherington Love Shucker, who has been the executive director of Greenville Center for Creative Arts since 2015, is no longer working for GCCA. Operations manager Marlowe Schuck confirmed Shucker’s departure from the GCCA team but provided no additional comment.
“I evaluated my professional goals, personal priorities and decided it was the right time to seek a new opportunity,” Shucker said.
Curator of programs Liz Rundorff Smith will serve as interim executive director.
“The board of directors is currently working on a broad search for a new executive director,” Smith said. “The founders, board and staff of GCCA are thankful for the contributions that Cherington made in helping build GCCA to the organization it has become and for her continued support of its success.”
GCCA is a 501c3 non-profit organization that strives to enrich the community of Greenville with visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration.
