The Peace Center’s 2019-20 Songwriters Concert Series and Workshop Series feature guest singer-songwriters along with Edwin McCain and songwriter Maia Sharp for listening and learning experiences.
Held in Genevieve’s theater lounge at the Peace Center, each of the four concerts brings in a singer-songwriter to offer audiences an intimate listening experience. Those four guest artists will also join McCain and Sharp for the Workshop Series.
Best known for his love songs “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More,” McCain has received many accolades and performs shows throughout the United States. McCain’s album “Mercy Bound” was produced by Sharp.
As a writer and producer, Sharp has had her songs recorded by famous musicians and bands such as The Dixie Chicks, Trisha Yearwood, Keb’ Mo’ and Cher. She also has six solo releases and a duo project called Roscoe & Etta with Anna Schulze.
