“Stacks” will open Aug. 30 at Art & Light Gallery in Greenville.
The exhibit, which features works by Greenville artists Taylor Adams and Glory Day Loflin, will be on display virtually on the gallery’s website and in person at 16 Aiken St. in Greenville through Oct. 1.
“We are so excited about studio mates and best friends Taylor Adams and Glory Day Loflin teaming up to create an exhibition about the landscape of their friendship and work,” said Art & Life Gallery’s Gallery and Consultant Associate Kat Mazzone. “Adams will be creating a collection of 2D mixed media landscape paintings to be paired with the 3D sculptural work of Loflin.”
Adams uses ink washes, graphite and textured media to draw a horizon line in her pieces featuring abstract landscapes, while Loflin’s works are inspired by a creek bed she grew up near. She uses materials such as wood, clay and pigment to construct her art, said the gallery in a press release.
Art & Light will host First Friday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Sept. 2 at the gallery to celebrate this new collection.
