The Greenville Zoo announced Tuesday afternoon the name of the Zoo’s addition to the giraffe exhibit, born June 30.

Kellan is the name of the one-month-old giraffe. Kellan was six feet, one inch tall at birth and weighed 165 pounds.

What does the name Kellan mean? 

Kellan is an African name meaning powerful, the Greenville Zoo said in their announcement on social media after allowing the community to vote on the name.

Kellan is available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
