The Alzheimer’s Association will hold its 11th annual “A Ride to Remember,” a cycling event from Simpsonville to Mount Pleasant, on July 12-14.
Three hundred fifty cyclists will travel 252 miles across the state to benefit the S.C. chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The cycling event has already raised over $365,000, half its goal of $600,000. The donations will support the organization’s services, educational opportunities, and research programs.
“We are so grateful for the dedicated riders in this event and for the volunteers who continue to show their support and make this event possible, even in our 11th year,” said Ashton Houghton, vice president of development for the Alzheimer’s Association South Carolina chapter. “The funds raised will provide local services in South Carolina, as well as support Alzheimer’s research efforts.”
Cyclists will start their travels at Heritage Park in Simpsonville on Friday morning and end at Patriot’s Point in Mount Pleasant on Sunday.
