Shelby before & after photo provided
If only dogs could talk, we could find out what Shelby has been up to.
Seven years ago, an Upstate family let their six-month-old puppy out to use the bathroom in Pickens County and never saw her again.
After countless hours of searching, a local store owner told the family that a dog matching Shelby’s description had been hit and killed.
Fast forward seven years. Today, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s office called to say that Shelby had wandered up to a home in Spartanburg.
Since she was chipped, they were able to identify her through a scan.
According to a statement from the family, Shelby looks rough but appears to have been fed.
It’s a happy ending everyone has hoped for.
