You have probably heard of meal planning or meal prepping at this point as the two words spike in interest at the beginning of each year. Meal planning is the process of planning your meals for the week based on portions and specific nutrition requirements. Meal prepping is the actual process of preparing all of those meals for the week, typically on Sundays for most people. This is where Clean Eatz comes in. We created our meal plan service over 5 years ago to help people save time and have a diverse group of healthy meals, every week.

Brief History of Clean Eatz

Clean Eatz started in 2013 in Wilmington, North Carolina by Don and Evonne Varady. They started the original establishment with the primary goal to help fitness and gym junkies have an eatery to call their home. They quickly realized that healthy eating and meal plan services could help many types of people including moms, busy professionals, and many others in the community. Don and Evonne began franchising Clean Eatz, and that’s what brought the restaurant to Greenville, SC.

Matt Tanner, Eric Dunn, and Chris Harrison learned about the restaurant via the first franchise location in Myrtle Beach, SC. From there, they secured the rights to the Greenville, SC territory, and opened the doors in August 2017 in the Pelham 85 Shopping Center.

Meal Plans with Clean Eatz

While we are a full-service restaurant with a complete menu of bowls, burgers, wraps, and salads; we are best known for our weekly meal planning service. Every Thursday morning, the Clean Eatz meal plan menu comes out via email and goes live on our website. Every week there are six new meals including five lunch or dinner options and one breakfast option. The meals are designed by our corporate team in Wilmington, but are all locally prepared at our location in Greenville, SC.

Customers have from Thursday through Sunday at midnight to place their order for the week. You have the ability to order as many or as few meals as you want with no weekly subscription requirements. The flexibility and affordability of our meal planning service is why thousands of people choose to use Clean Eatz, every week. Our pricing is simple, the price per meal goes down as you order more.

Special Requests Including Gluten Free, Half Carb, No Carb, and Extra Protein

Another one of the top reasons people love Clean Eatz meal plans is for our special request customizations. With special requests, customers can elect to add extra protein, go gluten free, or reduce the number of carbs in each meal. Included in every meal plan menu email is our Macro Matrix which details the calories, carbs, fat, and protein for all the meal plan combinations.

Macro-Based Meal Plans

Macro-based meal plans and diets have been around for quite some time, and they have shown a lot of success for people of all different lifestyles. Our macro approach to meal planning focuses on calories, carbs, fat, and protein. All of our meals are properly weighed and portioned to create meals around 500 calories, less than 50g of carbs, less than 10g of fat, and more than 20g of protein.

While micronutrients are important, the average person can get too consumed with these when pursuing a healthy diet. Two of the most tracked are sugar and sodium. These are important to control. As a result, we do not add any sugar or sodium to our meal plans. Sugar and salt are typically found in our sauces, which is why we limit those to the proper portions.
