A fourth-grade student at Monaview Elementary School was hit by a car Monday morning, according to a released statement from Greenville County Schools.
The student was hit while walking to school at about 7:43 a.m. at a four-way stop near the school, said Beth Brotherton, spokesperson for the district.
“We are thankful that first responders arrived quickly to provide medical treatment,” Brotherton said in the statement. “The student told firefighters he was excited to come back to school after the holiday break.”
The student was bruised but not seriously injured.
