Regan Ciccarelli, one of two Upstate girls who played Lulu in the touring production of “Waitress” earlier this year at the Peace Center, is on Broadway. Lulu is the daughter of the production’s main character, Jenna, a talented pie baker working at a local diner who is stuck in a loveless marriage.

The five-year-old from Clemson makes her Broadway debut in today’s matinee show.

Ciccarelli and the other Greenville Lulu, Charlotte Bates, were chosen from an audition of more than 60 local girls. Each performed four shows in Greenville. The Greenville audition was Ciccarelli’s first. The Greenville shows were her first speaking role.

Ciccarelli is the daughter of Leigh Anne Clark and Dion Ciccarelli.
