We’ve got your happy hour plans today and maybe for the foreseeable future.

Newly opened Mexican social club el Thrifty, 25 Delano Drive, received its liquor license Dec. 4, which means the full agave-spirit program will be up and running today, Dec. 5, at 4 p.m.

The restaurant and upscale gaming venue next to Soul Yoga and Swamp Rabbit Crossfit on the Greenville Health System Swamp Rabbit Trail opened Nov. 30 but was able to serve only beer and wine from the bar while ownership waited for the liquor application to be approved. Having received approval, ownership is ready to present its full concept to guests.

The current menu includes 16 mezcals and more than two dozen tequilas, some of which are not widely available in the Upstate market.

Former Crafted at Nose Dive mixologist Walker Pickering has moved over to el Thrifty as beverage director and developed a cocktail menu featuring rum, tequila, and mezcal his loyal fans will recognize as his handiwork. The majority of the cocktails are composed of three to four ingredients, keeping the focus on simplicity with well-balanced flavors using fresh juices and house-made tinctures.

View the entire list below, and get ready for traditional Mexican fare and cocktail pairings from executive chef Justin Serwetz. Read more about the team behind el Thrifty here.
