A Greenville couple’s journey to find the perfect farm in the Upstate will be featured on an upcoming episode of HGTV’s “We Bought the Farm.”
The episode, “Leaving Greenville for Greener Pastures,” features Wesley Turner and Daniel Schavey, owners of home décor stores 4Rooms and ROOTS, both located on Augusta Street. Local Realtor Katie Scardo Reid (Spaulding Group at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, C. Dan Joyner) will show the pair four farm properties before they choose their future home.
“Two workaholics are tired of living in their small Greenville, S.C., bungalow and are ready to look for a spacious and relaxing farmhouse away from the hustle and bustle of the city,” reads the episode’s description. “Their perfect farm would have a house with good bones, the right outbuildings, and land with plenty of tillable soil in Anderson County.”
“We wanted to move out of the city center but stay close enough to commute,” Turner said in a press release. “Our hope was space for more beehives, more chickens, and farm animals. And a place to start our next business adventure: a cut flower farm.”
The episode, which airs Saturday, June 3, at 11 p.m., was filmed over the course of five days last November. Producers reached out to Turner and Schavey after the couple’s interior-design-centric Instagram account, @FarmShenanigans, caught their attention.
Turner and Shavey’s outfitted farmhouse will also be showcased in the summer issue of atHome magazine, due out June 9.
