The Anchorage // Will Crooks

We’ve been waiting three long months for this announcement.

The Anchorage with Chef Greg McPhee will officially begin serving brunch this Sunday, April 9. Brunch hours will be 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

The menu will mirror the format of the regular dinner service with nine selections and five sides. Choices will rotate weekly but will include mainstays such as a bison-pork belly burger on a housemade wheat roll, churros with Mexican chocolate sauce, and a version of huevos rancheros that’s both vegetarian and gluten-free.

The bar staff will be featuring three rotating brunch cocktails and drinks that will feature seasonal ingredients. Coffee service will feature Methodical Coffee.

To accommodate the new brunch schedule, starting next week, the hours will shift to Wednesday and Thursday 5–9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5–10 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–3 p.m. The Anchorage will no longer be open Tuesday evenings except for private events upon request.

“We’re excited to offer our staff a higher quality of life by shifting our operating hours to Wednesday through Sunday,” McPhee says. “Our hope is by maintaining a five-day work week we can maintain a higher quality when it comes to both food and service.”

The Anchorage will be continuing to use Waitlist.Me as opposed to a standard reservation system. The list will open daily once the restaurant fills up and customers can either come directly to the restaurant, call, or go to The Anchorage website to add their name and check their place in line.

In addition, The Anchorage offers a Tasting Table twice a night for parties of six to eight, which is available Wednesday–Saturday at either 5:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. An online reservation system is available on the restaurant website to book these spots.

Information regarding parking, the wait list system, and much more can be found online at

The Anchorage is located at 586 Perry Ave.
