Table 301 restaurant group is gearing up for Valentine’s Day with two upcoming events and gourmet baskets for sale.

Wine Tasting

The Lazy Goat’s 12th Annual Table Sparkling Wine Tasting will be on Thursday, Feb. 7, from 6–7 p.m. Attendees can sample a selection of more than 50 sparkling wines — as well as traditional champagnes, cavas, and proseccos — paired with hors d’oeuvres. There will also be a “build your own bubbles” station, where attendees can mix and match “bubbles-based beverages.” Ticket purchasers will receive a certificate for 10 percent off if they dine at The Lazy Goat that night.

Speed Dating

Southern Pressed Juicery is hosting their second annual speed dating night on Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. The 21-and-up event will give local singles a chance to meet and mingle. Gourmet “To Go” Baskets

Soby’s on the Side is offering three gourmet basket options for those who’d like to either enjoy Valentine’s Day dinner at home or add something extra to the celebration.

The Gourmet Dinner for Two Basket ($135) contains a fully cooked meal that is ready to warm and serve. Items in the basket include gourmet cheeses and fruits with crackers; Jonah Crab Claw Cocktail; Tossed Field Green Salad (candied walnuts, dried cranberries, goat cheese, strawberry vinaigrette); two 6 oz. grilled fillets (white truffle chive compound butter); White Cheddar Potato Gratin; Roasted Vegetable Bundle; Chocolate Mousse Dome; Milk Chocolate Raspberry and Caramel Truffles; bottle of sparkling wine; and two champagne glasses. The basket price is $110 without the wine.

The Gourmet Treats Basket ($55) includes four long-stemmed chocolate-dipped strawberries, milk chocolate raspberry and caramel truffles, gourmet cheeses and fruits with crackers, a bottle of bubbly, and two champagne glasses. The basket price is $30 without the bubbly.

The Valentine’s Breakfast Basket ($15) includes two large muffins (chocolate chip, white chocolate raspberry, or blueberry); two coffee mugs; and a small bag of Soby’s Custom Blend by West End Coffee.

Soby’s on the Side is also selling gift-wrapped treats, such as handmade truffles, macaroons, and sugar cookies, and gift baskets. Visit the restaurant (22 E. Court St.) to see their offerings.
