Greenville County Schools on two-hour delay Wednesday

Greenville County Schools and offices will open on a 2-hour delay Wednesday and buses will not run on icy roads. Unsafe road conditions remain in some parts of the county.

If a bus route is affected, parents will receive a call from the GCS Transportation Department and their child will be excused from school on Wednesday. If a parent can safely drive their child, they are welcome at school.

All other buses will run on a 2-hour delay. GCS asks parents not to drop their child at school at the regular time. School buildings will open two hours later than usual.

Students usually transported by car will not be penalized for missing school if the absence is caused by dangerous road conditions, but a note is required upon return to school. In schools that are providing bus transportation, these notes are subject to review by the school administration.
