Clemson or Alabama, who sells more fan merchandise?

Ahead of Monday night’s game between Alabama and Clemson, Fanatics, a global leader in licensed sports merchandise, has released an infographic illustrating which school leads each state in merch sales since the College Football Playoff semifinal matches.

While Clemson edges out Alabama in the number of states, 26-24, Bama still leads in total sales, reports Fanatics. Last year, Clemson led in only 17 states, reflecting an increase in name recognition for the Tiger brand.

Perhaps not surprisingly, due to the difference in school size and alumni base, Alabama edges out Clemson in the Southeast region, with the latter claiming South Carolina (naturally), North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
