Greenville Health System announced that its new medical center in Spartanburg County has begun accepting patients.
The 20,000-square-foot office is under construction at 2400 Highway 9 in Boiling Springs beside the Eagle Pointe neighborhood.
Katie Spinks, an internal medicine and pediatrics physician for GHS, has set up operations in a modular office onsite until the center opens.
“It’s exciting to be part of a practice that can conveniently care for families in one of the fastest growing communities in Spartanburg County,” Spinks said in a statement.
A GHS spokesman said the facility is expected to open in March.
Spinks will have a partner at the facility. Interviews for that physician’s post are currently underway.
The center will include internists, family medicine physicians, physical therapy, a pharmacy, psychiatry, urgent care, labs and X-ray services.
GHS’s MD360 concept, which has four locations across the Upstate, will provide the urgent care, lab, physical therapy and X-ray services.
Spartanburg-based McMillan Pazdan Smith is the project’s architect. Clayton Construction is the contractor.
