Greenville newcomers and anyone who wants to meet them have a good excuse to drink up and tip well tonight.
Proceeds from Dwell-Greenville’s Newcomers Social at Gringos Cantina, 11 Falls Park Drive, from 5-8 p.m., will benefit Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer (T.E.A.L.), a national organization that helps provide knowledge of and funding for finding a cure for ovarian cancer.
Four guest bartenders — Fox Carolina meteorologist Ted Phaeton, GVL Today director Ryan Heafy, personal trainer and financial advisor Charles Russ, and actor and model Josh Royston — will be donating all of their tips to T.E.A.L.
The bartenders were chosen in part to satisfy one party goal. “Get the people with the ovaries something nice to look at,” said Samantha Radandt, owner of B & R Events, the happy hour’s organizer.
Tickets are $5 apiece or $50 for 12. Raffle items include gift cards to Gringos, Toss Pizza Pub, Browning Studio, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Beija-Flor Jeans, Hollytree Country Club, City Scape Winery and Bottle Cap Group. Proceeds from the raffle will also be donated.
