Greenville isn’t short on moderately priced or upscale restaurants, but if you’re watching your wallet, it doesn’t mean you have to abandon the restaurant scene and forgo dining out.

We’ve compiled a list of restaurants that have entrée options for under $10. (Note: This doesn’t include tax or tip.)


Where: Your Pie, 1416 Woodruff Road

Your order: Customize your own 10-inch pizza ($6.50), calzone ($7.50), panini ($7.50) or salad ($6.50).

GT Tip: Their premium ingredients like meat will cost an extra 50 cents each.

Where: Pita House, 495 S. Pleasantburg Drive

Your order: The chicken shawarma, beef shawarma and vegetarian plates are only $6.99.

GT Tip: Cash only. Closed Sundays.

Where: Bucky’s BBQ, 1700 Roper Mountain Road

Your order: The restaurant’s most popular dish, the pork plate, is only $7.95. Comes with a choice of two side items and bread.

GT Tip: Closed Sundays. Open only until 2:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Where: Monterrey Mexican Restaurant, 181 Laurens Road

Your order: Monterrey’s 30 dinner combination options will run you $7 to $7.25.

Where: Groucho’s, 20 E. Coffee St.

Your order: All of Groucho’s specialty sandwiches are under $10. We like the Big Dipper (roast beef) and the White Moose (turkey).

GT Tip: All specialty sandwiches are served with a pickle and chips.


Where: Barley’s, 25 W. Washington St.

Your order: A classic cheese slice will cost you $2.50/slice plus an extra 75 cents per topping.

GT Tip: Their single slices are huge; two or three should be enough.


Where: Chicora Alley, 608 S. Main St.

Your order: All but one of Chicora Alley’s vegetarian dishes is under $10. Try the veggie quesadilla or veggie lovers’ burrito.

GT Tip: Closed on Mondays.

Where: Luna Rosa Gelato Café, 9 W. Washington St.

Your order: All of Luna Rosa’s paninis are under $10, and they come with fruit, a side salad or pasta salad. We like the Italian grilled cheese and Manhattan chicken.

GT Tip: Come back another time to try their amazing gelato. Or get it immediately after your meal; we won’t judge.

Your order: The ground beef, shredded beef, steak, chicken, and vegetarian burritos are all $8.99.

GT Tip: Chips and a salsa bar are complimentary.


Where: Sully’s Steamers, 6 E. Washington St.

Your order: Anything. All of the bagel sandwiches at Sully’s are priced under $10. Depending on what you order, chips ($1.25) and a fountain drink ($1.75) may still keep you under $10.

GT Tip: Sully’s is open until 3 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
